Welcome home, Tony y Not!

Tony y Not is a German House DJ that is based in Brooklyn, NY. Growing up, she was always musically engaged through being supported living in a talented and creative environment. She moved to the United States from Germany in 2015, bringing a lot of European sonic influence that shape her up-beat, groovy sets - with a lot of sass. With emphasis on high quality and sharp sounds, it is important to her that she connects with the crowd and grooves just like the audience - simply can't refuse to dance. 2016 she became a resident DJ at Collective BAE events. Shortly after, she started co-producing these events up until this day. Feeling the demand for distinct sounds from home that you normally hear in the European club scene, she felt missing in New York. Therefore, beginning 2018 she started Front Left, a party series bringing in groovy and mysterious tunes to local New York venues like House of Yes. This led to collaborating with many music and art collectives from all over the world. Having played in New York on a regular basis including venues like The Panther Room or at parties like ZERO, she is thriving also internationally in places like Berlin, Tulum, Zurich, London or Cape Town and festivals such as Burning Man. She is widening her horizon to dive deeper into different sub-genres of House music. Being based on such a big network she is pursuing different forms of art in music such as producing her own groovy, funky, up-beat House beats. Her mission for music is to be the communicator and motivation for people to dance with each other - look into each others eyes and dance, embrace, love! "Don't be too serious, remember why you love it!"
